Sleeping Beauty Prince Phillip & Goons Production Cel and Background (1959)

Description

A production cel and background setup from the Disney Studios gorgeous animated film "Sleeping Beauty" (1959). Featuring the terrifying moment in which Prince Phillip is captured by Maleficient's Goons, the hand-painted cel and background were created at the studio and used during the animation process. Both pieces are actual frames of animation that were photographed and appear in the film. The cel measures 12.5"x30" overall with the character image measuring 8"x19.75" and the background measures 12"x28.25" overall with the image area measuring 8.5"x22.75". The setup is in very good condition with light surface abrasions on the cel, very small cracks along bottom edges, minor paint wear with small spots of lifting and cracking, light edge wear to the background, and adhesive residue on the background's board and cel.
